Payment Options
We accept payment via Credit/Debit Card (via Stripe) or Paypal.
Our checkout system is fully encrypted behind a secure server. Every page on our website is protected by secure SSL certificate.
We do NOT store any of your payment details and credit/debit card payments are never provided to us, they are securely processed by Stripe. Likewise, if you pay by Paypal, we just receive notification of payment into our Paypal account and not how you fund the payment (i.e. you can use Paypal balance, credit/debit card or bank account associated to your Paypal account).
None of your payment information is passed to us.
The only information we receive is your name and address to send your order to. We also collect your email address, so that we can keep you updated as to order status and alert you when order has been completed, dispatched and advise any tracking numbers.
We are not provided with any payment details of yours such as card details, etc – these are all processed by Stripe or Paypal on our behalf. We are merely advised of payment amount, your name and order number payment is for.
Postage Options
We have experienced the disappointment of receiving an order where the seller hasn’t used suitable packaging to protect a precious item. We won’t be that seller, as we want you to receive the magnets in the brand new condition we dispatch them in.
We send all our magnets within protective plastic wallets/bags, inside a brand new bubble protected envelopes or board backed envelope to protect them from damage whilst in transit.
We do not profit from postage and packaging costs, we merely cover the cost of sending to you. Our shopping basket will calculate the combined weight of multiple items, so that you only pay the costs of sending together. You’ll also be offered the different postage options at checkout, should you want First/Second Class, Tracked & Insured or Special Delivery. For orders over 250gms, the 1st/2nd Class drops off, as both are then more expensive than the Tracked 48 option – which, unlike 1st/2nd, is a tracked option with insurance.
Postal Insurance
We cannot be held liable for any loss or damage to products whilst in transit. We obtain Certificate of Postage for all orders dispatched, so we can claim for compensation against loss of an order – up to the compensation level assigned by Royal Mail (£20 as standard).
If your order is to a value greater than £20, you are highly recommended to use the higher insurance of Tracked & Insured (£150 cover) / Special Delivery Services (£250-£500 cover).
In such cases where order is to a greater value than £20 and you decline the higher compensation level service, then in the unlikely event of an order going missing, we can only compensate up to the level provided by the Certificate of Postage once the Royal Mail have investigated and paid out compensation (in line with RM website conditions, claims for lost post cannot be made until 10 working days after due delivery date). If an order is scanned and marked as delivered by Royal Mail, but you say it has not arrived, you will need to contact the local delivery office that has marked it as delivered, for them to comment on where it is or if it is a scanning error.
In the highly unlikely event that (given protective packaging used) goods are damaged during transit, then you will need to make a claim with your local delivery office.
Shipping to Republic of Ireland
We can offer posting to the Republic of Ireland using International Standard rates or International Tracked and Signed. Alas, the cost of a single magnet to the ROI is higher than the magnet itself – however, the cost will not rise for up to 3 magnets, so you may wish to spread the cost by adding a couple more magnets. International Standard posting comes with the same insurance coverage as above, so for larger orders, it will default to the more expensive International Tracked and Signed to increase the insurance coverage.
*** Shipping to Republic of Ireland/EU Countries currently suspended ***
Due to the new, considerably bureaucratic red tape the EU have created with their new GPSR regulations, I am sorry but from Jan 2025, I have had to make the difficult decision to cease shipping to customers in EU countries, until they relax some of the stringent and frankly, unnecessary conditions/costs it puts onto independent sole traders like myself.
I am still shipping orders to all new and returning loyal customers from the USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, the Rest of the World and all other European countries outside the EU.
Apologies to customers in the EU, but this is outside my control
Shipping Outside UK and Rep of Ireland
We are more than happy to ship our fridge magnets around the world, but we only use an International Track and Signed option for anything outside UK and ROI. This is more expensive than standard international shipping, but is quicker. We will not send any items by standard international shipping due to items going astray in transit previously. Alas, the cost of a single magnet outside the UK is higher than the magnet itself, however, the shipping cost usually remains the same level for upto about 6 magnets, so you may wish to spread the cost by adding some more magnets to the order.
The cost of International tracked and Signed is dependant on final destination, but you will get the exact cost quoted for your address once you have entered it at checkout and before committing to buying.
The cost of this service includes a level of insurance upto £250. The cost covers shipping, delivery, tracking & insurance – it does not cover any custom fees that may be due locally – you would need check local regulations to see whether any custom fees would be liable. Completing order is your confirmation that you have checked local regulations and are happy with your findings and accept liability to pay any local customs/import fees that may be due.
